We do not have a revenue problem, we have a spending problem. Wages and benefits constitute more than 70% of our budget. — Jan Batcheller

I am endorsing the No on Measure PP campaign. As a retired Police Captain and city council candidate, I am appalled that our elected officials claim to have "done a great job balancing the budget" while simultaneously asking residents to contribute more to ensure a balanced budget. We need new leadership that prioritizes fiscal responsibility, focuses on expenditures, and does not outspend revenues. — Craig Eicher

I am voting No on Measure PP - the Pleasanton Sales Tax because the City Leadership has not been transparent and dug deep into the budget issues. — Example of Support Statement
Our City Leadership has not done a deep dive into the detail of the budget. As a resident I am asking questions. One of my questions was why are we supporting and maintaining a rose garden in a park that is closed to the public and has been closed for years? How much is this costing? In just a single inquiry I was able to find that we are spending almost $50,000.00 per year to maintain a closed park! How much more wasted money is there lurking in the budget? I no longer trust our Mayor, 3 council members or the City Manager to do the fiscally responsible job of taking a serious look and deep dive into the budget. Join me in voting NO on Measure PP. — Vicki LaBarge

Strongly Support MEASURE PP - "NO on additional sales taxes! We already pay enough!" — Alphonse Lipski
Throwing more of taxpayer money onto the problem will not fix it. It will only exasperate the issue. City Management and our Elected Officials must look inward to solve the fiscal crisis. — Alphonse Lipski
